What happened
The BO2 browser port was taken down
Developer Luckey Faraday had published two AI-built browser projects: Claude of Duty: Vibe Slops II, a recreation of Black Ops 2 multiplayer with bot matches on Hijacked and Nuketown 2025, and a solo recreation of the Black Ops zombies map Kino der Toten.
Both projects used maps, models and animations exported from the original PC games. On October 11, 2026, Faraday said Activision had issued a DMCA takedown; both games went offline and related posts were removed. Activision hasn't commented publicly.

Some sites and social posts still list the BO2 link as working. Many were written before the takedown and haven't been updated.
Bring-your-own-game projects
Open-source projects such as open-fastfile convert maps from Call of Duty games you own on Steam and run on your own server. They're developer tools, not a site you can open and play.
Downloads are a red flag
A real browser game runs in a tab. Anything that asks you to install a launcher or run an .exe to "play BO2 in your browser" is a common way to spread malware.

Will the Black Ops 2 browser port come back?
Nobody outside the developer and Activision can say. The project used maps, models and animations exported from the original games, which is what the takedown targeted, so a return in the same form is unlikely.
Can I play TranZit, Die Rise or Origins in a browser?
